To Ricoh "What I Want for Christmas" 2015

Every year, I like to put some interesting tidbit about Christmas from other Countries around the world.

Christmas in Russia: During the communist years St. Nicholas was transformed into Grandfather Frost. Other religious traditions were suppressed during the communist era. Before the revolution, a figure called Babouschka would bring gifts for the children. Like Italy's La Befana, the story is that Babouschka failed to give food and shelter to the three wise men during their journey to visit the Christ Child.

Hard to believe that I started this blog 7 years ago!  I missed a few years, however, I look forward to writing this Christmas themed blog each year. For those of you that aren't aware of my background, I've been selling Ricoh products for a dealer since 1998!

Christmas List for 2015 (hope it's not too late)

  • Ricoh please please give us a replacement for the aged W3601 wide format MFP system!! Is it true that something new is coming in early 2016? If so, please, please don't let it be anything similar to W7100 or the W8140 you just released a few months ago.  I need new features like the Smart Operation Panel, 1200x1200 dpi scanning and a Scan2Print feature (this way I can scan on the Ricoh and print to other wide format devices).
  • I want, I want a color LED wide format system like KIP has!  Wah, wah, wah, please!
  • I want a lower price for the Xante Envelope Press! Once I add the DMU (Dealer Mark Up), I'm at suggested retail.  If you can't do that, I'll take the next item on my list.
  • I want the Ricoh C5100s with Fiery, however, get rid of the scanner/copier stuff, dump the by-pass tray and add the Straight Shooter LF Pro Plus envelope feeder!! Boo ya, we'd have a production envelope press with color matching and speeds of 100 plus envelopes an hour!!!!
  • I want faster A4 MFP devices, 60, 70 pages a minute would help me climb to the top of the sales ladder.  If you can't do this can you give me the next item on the list?
  • I need finishing options for our A4 MFP devices! I want staplers, hole punching, and booklet making.
  • Hi Speed Network Scan Station that will scan at 100 image per minute plus along with a 220 page document feeder and the ability to scan2email, scan2folder and scan2cloud (I really, really want this). I asked for this last year also. Can you get me this?
  • Please, oh please this would mean the most to me, please open up the android OS GIU (user display) on the Smart Operation Panel so I can develop my own apps. I have so many ideas for some really cool apps for the copiers!  These could make me oddles and oodles of money!

I have a lot of fun with this every year, and hope you did also, please respond with your Christmas list to Ricoh or any other manufacturer.  Usually the best ideas comes from P4P'ers (Print4Pay Hotel members).
