The Ricohs have been slow sellers is not because of end user needs or wants. Basically ours is a quota/revenue driven business from the top to the bottom. The preferred compensation model for commissions is that of a revenue based plan with commissions. Why have a GP driven comp plan for your sales people when your Dealership or Branch has a revenue based quota plan from the manufacturers? It just doesn't make sense. With that A4's from Canon, Sharp, Ricoh, and KonicaMinolta has presented their

Mulit-line fax?

Here is a challenge for you....need everyone's help. What I am looking for is what manufacturers offer 2, 3 and 4 fax lines on ONE MFP? I know Konica Minolta is 2, Ricoh max is 3 & Canon max is 4 on some of their black & white MFP line. More specifically how does this fit in 45-55ppm range? These are a rare occurrence but could make the difference someday of winning or losing a future deal for everyone.

Sell Ricoh and Canon. In my opinion, I feel the ease use from a user perspective is much stronger with Ricoh than Canon. The dealer support is stronger with Ricoh. I like Ricoh color much more than Canon. I do not spend much attention to the units in general as they are just a by product. My main focus is solving problems within an organization. It just so happens prinetrs and copiers fall into this.

Even Canon's current Dual component systems have developer "pre-mixed" in the toner, they just need that extra kick of additional developer. As far as any quality concerns, I haven't seen any problem with the quality of the Canon mono component prints.

We have used DocRecord internally at our dealership for the last two years. I like it; I find it pretty easy to administer and our end users think it's intuitive and friendly. I can't speak to integration with your specific platform. But, for automation it's just a matter of setting up a process with a watch folder through DocRecord's Automation Server tool, and programming a one-touch button on your MFP that scans into the watch folder. PS - we're a Konica Minolta dealer. :-)

If I remember correctly the pitch from Canon was the developer mixed with toner is your monocomponet, which will keepprint and copy quality very good over the long haul because you never run low on developer like the dual process that everyone else uses. That is what we did for the proposal however that is a risky idea because Ricohs are down or have significant issues that is a reflection back on me and not worth the risk of affecting the entire account. This is primarily the reason why the bid was lost because of that existing fleet. I just do not think it was fair for the hired consultant to lead everyone on during the bid with a setup for Ricoh to win.
