Selling Copiers in the Seventies

·
Last week I was uploading some older CD's to ITunes, when I came across one of my favorite CD aka Albums by one of my favorite bands. The Rolling Stones with "Sucking in the Seventies" was a compilation album that was released in 1981. All of the songs on the album were performed or written in the Seventies. I had my epiphany that there really isn't that much on the web about what it was like to sell copiers in the seventies. Actually, I don't think I've ever read anything about selling copiers

Spending more on coffee than copiers

·
Conversation with CFO today. Looking to reduce costs, has 200 or so employees, and the topic of K-cups came up. Company is spending $100 per day on those K-cups, open seven days a week. My quick math told me they are spending more on coffee than their six MFP devices with service and supplies. He stated the cost of each Kcup is about fifty cents. Thought that was interesting, and now I can use that when selling to other accounts, "You're probably spending more on your coffee than you spending

A good test is if it will scan to a current MAC which does not support SMB 1. The Samsungs have worked, and I believe the Konica Minoltas too. The Canon MFDs do not, not even the latest V3 IR-Advance MFDs. We need to add Authorized Send to support this. Vince

Re: Best Copiers of the Eighties

·
I don't know if this qualifies as the "BEST" copier of the 80s, but it was the first one I was ever trained on. And it came with a pair of wooden tongs so IF (or should I say when) the paper would jam under the toaster we called a fixing unit and it would catch fire, you could "safely" remove it and put it in the solid empty metal waste basket that you had to keep next to it, so that the paper could "safely" burn out. OSHA must not have existed, for they surely would not allow such a device to

in order for there to be litigation, someone has to file suit and I don't see Ricoh doing that and if they did, I think they would most likely lose.

Re: RBS employee non competes

·
In Canada, you cannot enforce a non-compete. I would imagine it's similar in the US. The argument is that an employee's income is tied to skills and relationships that he or she gained while under employment. Whether you are a sales rep or a tech, you cannot take away an employee's ability to make money, even if it's in the same territory. Most OEM's will enforce a 6-12 month non-compete clause. When we hire a new rep, our dealer principal is famous for calling the OEM legal department and

As of now, there will be an updated firmware available before 8/1/2017 for all of the latest Mono "55" series and Color "04" series. Additionally, there will be more firmware released for the mid-volume, production, and desktop models in between now and the end of the year for current models. From what I understand, legacy
