. NSI originally developed AutoStore for HP, but the exclusivity of this arrangement expired last year. NSI has since added a partnership with Kyocera Mita, which will soon offer its own version of AutoStore, and created integrations for Xerox, Ricoh, Sharp and Toshibacopiers among others in the works. This gives AutoStore the unique distinction of being the only scanning system that can expose one set of stored document settings and workflows through at least six different brands of devices

Color sales boost Canon, Xerox profits The two largest copier manufacturers posted growth in third-quarter results that are partially attributable to the growth in demand for color. Canon's profits rose 39 percent in the third quarter, attributed to cost-cutting and increased sales of color copiers and printers. Net income for the company, with U.S

Had a customer with Savin 2522 printing fine. Upgraded to 4022sp. Now when they print (PCL6) they get an application error on the windows 2000 server that manages all of the company's print jobs and they lose all of the company's print jobs. Anyone seen this?

yourself and your company. I know this is common sense and practice, but the discipline of selling is the hardest part. Who wants to win on price? That will only leave you broke and busy helping people who don't appreciate your professionalism or your time. Good luck, and I hope someone else will contribute on the benefits of the Ricoh machines, I've found the Konica-Minolta machines look good on paper, but put them side by side and you'll see the difference. Push for a demo if you can!

We have a lot of prospects in our database that we dont contact as frequently as we should because our outside reps are too busy. We are considering adding an inside rep/marketing assistant to help with some of our cycle calls - I'm curious - anyone...
, giving a firm handshake, the smile and active listening are all part of Dale Carnegie's book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People." Put these together with the sales basics of studying and knowing the product, honestly answering questions, gaining trust and making follow-ups with clients and any salesperson's month will be a "good month."
conversion software that will remove documents from the MIMMS and put it into the eCab. They plan to use the system for their office, plus they will be reselling the service to smaller attorneys for profit. I must give BMiller some of the credit on this deal since he found this client when he was working with us, if I recall correctly it was a $2000.00 fax that got his foot in the door. Three years later we have replaced all of their copiers, faxes, and almost all of the printers. Since then, we have
two questions why on a ricoh aficio color 6010 labels stop before the fuser...when printing....but will pass through when copying and the ricoh 1105 are these machines good to work on? just sold one and I am the service tech what parts should I carry this machine is in a print shop cannot be down.. please help TIA Patricia
This is an email from one of my sources. Just talked to my "mole" within one of the larger regional HP providers. Here's the real scoop on the 4345 mfp: FCOT = 4 seconds Cost per page = $.014 from HP for service, supplies and 4 hour response. The engine is the HP LJ 4300 reworked to print right to left instead of back to front. CPC is high for a copier but the hardware price is half the cost of a copier mfp.
For the customer who does not need 11x17, book copy and prints alot more than they copy. The HP 4345 will foot the bill. I have even thought about buying a few of these systems and reselling them with our own label for a few thousand above retail. I don't know if I;ll ever do it, however its just a thought. I did a few comparisions with a Ricoh 600N, extra paper draw, duplex unit and then added the new IS 300e scanner from Ricoh. We still cam out a few thousand over. However it may be a
I would also try to get the Konica/Minolta in the client to demo. The fiery is a pain in the....well, you know where. I have gone against the bizhub a number of times and have lost once and that was the only deal that the customer went to the office to see the bizhub where they controlled the environment. get the fiery into the customer and it's a no brainer...at least it has been here
Yes, I had the same problem at the end of the summer. Alas, I thought I was a great video game player, however with Aficio's hit the homerun, I managed a mere 200 points. You are correct, there is a different game when you get to try for the "grand slam". Boo's the AF league for changing the swings and also Boo's the Aficio League for making us wait up to 30 days for points to be awarded. I inout all of my sales in clusters, it never fails that there one isw one or two "hung up" for 30 days or
It's true. We read "How to Win Friends and Influence People" at our company and the principles are common sense, yet often take repetition and constant reflection to implement them in the day to day grind. Relationship selling may or may not be a new "buzzword", but it's definitely not new. The best salespeople have been doing this for years. We can't rely on always having the best price and the best product... As I believe Brian Tracy says..."all things being equal most people would rather buy
No, we are not doing this, however this was a topic of much discussion last week. RBS has a plan like this in place, something to the tune of $800 added to the base of the equipment. we discussed adding $450 fee would cover all aspects of network installation upto 10 users, including Scan2email, scan2folder, print drivers and training for the software. The CSR (Customer Support Representative) would also have the ability to "sell the extras" once in the door. The would have a "click quota

I have a customer who is using some vertical market software at their main office. This software uses twain scanning. We would like to install an mfp in their remote office, and using remote desktop connection pull scan to the software located in the main office from the mfp in the remote office. I know that it is possible to bring local printers through the vpn, but is it possible to do the same with scanning?
When plotting an autocad drawing with multiple layers of various colors and pen widths, What settings need to be changed to get the colors to print in black, not shades of grey? Yellows and other light colors are coming out to faint to read, same in monochrome. We've already changed the HPGL colors and Calcomp colors to 100% grey and selected black and white in the HPGL plotter defaults and these changes have not worked. I was curious what "2 shades of grey" in the vector graphic settings or
QUESTION: What Do Customers Really Want? ANSWER: For years businesses have struggled to answer that question. Along the way slogans and discussions have come and gone--about customer satisfaction versus loyalty, selling outcomes and solutions versus products and services, and technical processes versus interpersonal skills. Too often, they missed the point. Research shows that independent of industry, geography, product, or service, consumers consistently report that they value four qualities
What I posted was for one of my guys at Ricoh who has a guy at HP so the story gos. He (my guy) is a good guy and has provided me good info in the past. What I posted was his exact email. Just thought I throw it out there and see what comments or thoughts yo guys had. I am not too worried (at least not yet) from what I have seen.
From my experience I have not had a lot of luck competing with a 2238 against the BizHub when it comes down to the nots and bolts of copiers and not price. It seems as if that unit out performs, and out specs us in this market. Brad, could you provide some insight from what you have seen more recently in thie field with the BIZHUB.
As long as you have a FULL version (NOT lite) of AutoCAD on the plotbase server, you can batch print DWG files. No AutoCad on the PB server, you are linmited to PLT, TIFF, PDF (if postscript option enabled)
, AutoCad will perform it's "regeneration" and then send the images to Plotclient Win. You will actually see the Plotclient Win application launch without human intervention and the AutoCad files will drop into the area for Entries. Within Plotclient, you will then need to set the number of collated sets that you desire and then press the printer icon. The job is actually sent from Plotclient Win to the SSL folder and then printer from PB Server.
If the customer is running 36 inch paper, then every linear foot is 3 sqaure feet. There is no square foot meter for the Ricoh's. The KIP product that I saw has a square foot meter. Service is also billed by the square foot.
When "printing" specify the size and direction of the lable sheet in the application. It sounds like the direction is wrong, that is, being fed in the portrait direction and the applicaton is showing lanscape direction.
The 270 with print and scan needed two drops. So the addy of the SR was installed in the 270 and the delivery option was turned to "delivery" Then the address book in the SR was set up with the destinations of the other work stations. The work stations got SW called Desktop binder and a portion of it monitors SR for scans. Almost the same setup as the present system.
The machine will code every time the print button is pushed. It will not make a copy. Clear the code, shut it down, and it codes agian as soon as the print key is pressed. quote: Originally posted by Jomama: How often does this occur. If it is erratic, I think I would replace the cover switch. You say it is acting normally, but those switches go bad on the inside and are very erratic at first.
The 1515 has a USB port, this is must be shared on the network through another computer. I would suggest something that has a network card and can be seen directly on the network. If you can print over the WAN, you can scan over the WAN. And I would agree with Jomama, Their software must be able to monitor a folder locally, if not, upgrade software.
