Re: TABS on the block

Rumors that Toshiba is considering selling Toshiba America Business Solutions or Toshiba Business Solutions have circulated for some time. Although TABS and many of Toshiba's other business units (specifically memory/semiconductor) have struggled in recent years, Toshiba has consistently denied that it plans to sell its copier business. Toshiba distributed a letter to its dealers and direct sales force in February, 2009 maintaining that, despite recent rumors, it has no plans to sell its copier

Re: Scan in One City, Print in Another

Assuming that they're on the same WAN & that it's a Ricoh system, you can set it up to Scan to FTP, but instead of an FTP address, set the destination as the IP address of the printer they want it to print on. This also works great if you have a customer that needs to make color copies but doesn't want a full color MFP. You can color scan to FTP on the MFP and set the destination to a color printer, resulting in a color copy.

Yes, Toshiba projectors are gone, at least in Canada. Industry prices and volumes have collapsed from a few years ago and it is not worth the overhead costs to support them.
