... about five years worth of lost sales to other A4 vendors. Maybe I can flip a few color Samsung, Sharp, Kyocera, Xerox, Ricoh, KM, Lexmark and HP MFPs that I lost to over the last five years. I guess that Toshiba Tec did not have the manufacturing capacity to open a new production line. These new MFPs will be an OKI print engine with a Toshiba eBridgeX display and OS. Not hard to imagine a black only MFP six months from now based upon a similar hardware spec.

Can Spiceworks cause MFP (printer) issues? JDMorecraft Mar 7, 2013 at 8:51 PM | PRINTERS, COPIERS, SCANNERS & FAXES A few months ago our large Sharp MFP contract ran out, so they sold my boss on all new MFPs and a print management software called PaperCut. From the installation date on, this system has been a nightmare with ghost issues always popping up, causing our users to HATE us. Earlier this week several reps from Sharp and another from PaperCut came to our city and office to look at what

Simple math tells us that Sharp recently rec'd $120M USD from Qualcomm and $110M USD from Samsung totaling $231M USD. Six months from now Sharp has to come up with $2.1B USD or else the sh*t will hit the fan for Sharp. Not that I am a high finance expert by any means but at least the acknowledgement by Sharp that they are interested in receiving bids on the copier division means that it is not a sacred cow for Sharp. Somewhere I read that any Japanese Corporation will do what is has to do to

we have placed about 100 Canon MFPs the last 20 or so are the 40MFP scanner. It is far superior to the Ricoh and less exspensive as well, the scanner is 1200dpi and the quility is stunning. The new 3.0 user interface is much better than Ricohs the CW2200 is going to have a tough time matching up the Canon.

Around the same time, Toshiba will announce five new A3 models based upon LED print engines.

It is a couple of months later and I have sent out maybe 3k emails. Not a whole lot of success yet but I remain optimistic. Very few requests to be deleted from my email list and I have a list that I can continue to expand and reach potential customers that I could never get to. I like the fact that I can contact 200-300 people every 8th week, 50 weeks of the year, that I suspect at some point in time in the next five years will buy a copier.
