This Week in the Copier in Industry, The Last Week of November 2003

Looking back there was one incredible thread from 15 years ago and that had to do with a new member that refused give information that we required in order to approve them for membership.

Those days were the early days from when we transitioned from an MSN community to a real web site. Back then all we had was the forums.  Graham & Ted were also key players in getting the forums launched back then.

Enjoy the threads from 15 years ago this week and make sure you check out that thread! Membership to the P4P Hotel

Growing Service Revenue by Scott Cullen

service revenues grow steadily during the past seven years. Not coincidentally this growth has come at a time when CDS has been forging a reputation in the markets it serves as a premiere provider of digital technology and networked services. Similarly, WJS Enterprises, a Canon dealership, with offices in Metairie and Baton Rouge, LA, is also seeing its service revenues rising. “Our [service] revenues are growing but margins are tighter,” says Russ Jacketti, vice-president of sales. “It’s

In August HP signed an agreement to use copier engines manufactured by Konica, the

Starting My New Job on Monday!

·
Well Guys (And Gals) I start my new job on Monday and will be working for the dealer that purchased Finch-Brown. My new dealer is Boise Office Equipment. I am happy to say that they are the largest independant here in Boise and I stand to do very well there. We carry BOTH Ricoh and Kyocera-Mita and will likely pick up the Lanier line as well. Just so everyone knows! That's the deal from here in Boise. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving Graham

Re: AS400 Drivers for 2045SP

On the main topic page of this board there is a section called Connectivity and Technical Services under that section you will find a section specically devoted to AS400. As of this time there is no IPDS firmware module (needed for AS400 printing) for the 2035/45. Ricoh is hinting that it is in the works. It could be out sooner or later. Remember, Patience is a virtue.

CL3000 User Enhancement Feature

·
Hello All, Is it possible to limit the number of prints a user can select with this feature installed on a CL3000? Limiting access to color or B/W and then monitoring the user codes for actual prints are the only benefits I can see. Thanks, Bill D.

Good Info from Attorney

writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the "For" line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won't have access to it. - Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. Never have your SS# printed on your checks (DUH

"The Year We Had Two Thanksgivings"

; calendar makers were the worst hit because they printed calendars years in advance and FDR made their calendars out of date for the next two years. Schools were also disrupted by Roosevelt's decision; most schools had already scheduled vacations and annual Thanksgiving Day football games by the time they learned of Thanksgiving's new date and had to decide whether or not to reschedule everything. Moreover, many Americans were angry that Roosevelt tried to alter such a long-standing tradition
