The KM 1Rate Program & How to Sell Against It Webinar

In the last few weeks, I've had many inquires about the KM 1Rate program.  That's the program that give clients unlimited clicks for a monthly fee. Yes, I stated unlimited clicks.

With the help of P4P Hotel members I've been able to understand the terms and conditions of the program.  Once you understand those you can put together a strategy to point out the good, the bad and the ugly.

In the webinar we'll focus on those terms and conditions and the offer up a strategy to sell against it.

Tentative date for this webinar is scheduled on or around the 7th of September.  Cost is zero for P4P Hotel Premium/VIP members and $19.95 per person for non Premium/VIP or non members of the Print4Pay Hotel.

If you're interested please send me an email and I'll get you on the list. We're looking for fifty or so for the first one. apost@P4photel.com

If a client prints 5k per month and you say "the volume over 5k is free"....what are they going to do...print 10k per month? Wow, they change their workflow for 5k x .0065. How about if the customer says we are getting charged .07 per page color and you can show them .025 or .022 per page. Now that's a game changer when a company is running 5k color per month. Did you know 70% of the color print volume has less than 10% coverage, yet the industry still charges at 20% rate?

Quote from a recent client that was looking at One Rate. "I'll just trash all of my printers and move the volume to the MFP, I'll save thousands"

So the customer is going to toss printer assets? No cpp escalators on the one rate? No requirements for the contract: minimum pages or hardware?  Dear Mr. Customer: "As long as you buy MFP's at List Price" and renew every 3 years, we can give you this great program...."

ALL great questions which I'll be explaining in the webinar

How interesting that she deleted her LinkedIn article and thread comments. Maybe she found out that there was a catch?

Once again a great reminder that there is a difference between bashing your competitors and educating yourself and others on the differences between them.

Maybe!  Or someone told her how wrong she was.  I really don't understand why people are like that. Czech thanx for the thread

Just an update on the recent thread by a P4P member. She deleted her threads that I replied to a few days ago.  Seems now she would like me to delete the quotes also.  The blog that she had posted on Linkedin has also been removed.

I'm not going to comment on this anymore, but to delete the quotes that I posted would not be fair to the members of the site.  We need to learn as much as possible about the One Rate from KM, and then need to decide if we want to beat them or join them.  Recent talk tracks from others have suggested that a One Rate program will become the norm in the industry.  We're looking good for the webinar, however, we still need more non premium peeps to join in. If you're interested in learning more about the KM One Rate, please send me an email and we'll sign you up.  The cost is $19.95 for non-premium members and free for premium members.

Tricia, I find it interesting that you suggest that Art Post may have a conflict of interest because he sells Ricoh. What you don't know is the what's and why's surrounding the creation of the p4photel. I know because I was there.

Ricoh used to have a message board where Ricoh reps could dialog with one another throughout the country. That is until Ricoh reps started sharing even the ugly (which every manufacturer has). Ricoh began to shut down critical conversation ABOUT RICOH, even going so far as blocking participating reps access. Art Post saw a need and filled it with p4photel. How ironic that you would claim a conflict of interest when it is precisely his critique of Ricoh which birthed the site in the first place.

Yes, we have many members that rep for KMBS.  In fact I have everything I need to educate our current members on the good, the bad and the ugly of the program. Again, thanx for your comments, we always appreciate posts from our members!

Hi Trica,

thanx for the mention!

I appreciate the kudos. Not only am I am rep for a Ricoh dealer, but I also am the CEO of the Print4Pay Hotel. Yes, we do have a Premium/VIP membership for our members, and yes there is a cost for that. Premium/VIP members get complete access to the Print4Pay Hotel.

Did you mean to link to a KonicaMinolta document that was last updated in September of 2015? Because the One-Rate program has only been available for the last five months or so. If you'd like the updated terms and conditions of the One-Rate program please email me and I'd be happy to get it to you.

Also, please keep in mind that the Print4Pay Hotel is for Imaging Industry professionals and not end users (although they can read most of the blogs on the site). With that being said, any member can click my profile where I proudly state that I sell Ricoh products.

We have more than three thousand members from around the globe.  We've been covering the industry for more than 15 years.  We do a great job at sharing information with our existing members and new members.

BTW, the One-Rate program will be a good fit for some clients, just not everyone.  If anyone is interested in the details, here are two additional blogs on the Print4Pay Hotel The One Rate Program "The Good, the Bad & the Ugly" & Four Ways to Compete Against the KM One Rate Program -
