Ricoh demonstrate industry excellence through new products and solutions at Vision 2002


National Sales Conference Offers Dealers Industry Insight and Valuable Tools

Orlando, Florida, October 14, 2002 - Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable DigitalTM output company,will showcase a variety of innovative, powerful solutions and offer valuable insight into the future of the industry at VISION 2002, the Ricoh National Sales Meeting, October 13-16, at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

VISION 2002 will provide a forum for educating and fostering the growth of the company's dealer sales channel, as well as a vehicle for highlighting its corporate strategies and third-party strategic alliances for key industry influencers, analysts and media representatives. The vision theme reflects Ricoh's strength as a technology leader and emphasizes the most critical component needed for success in the future - Vision.

At VISION 2002 Ricoh will share with its dealers the company's plans to maximize all marketplace opportunities through savvy workflow management technology solutions that customers demand. Driving this Vision is Ricoh's commitment to its new organizational unit, RICOH U.S., which is designed to better meet the needs of dealers and customers.

More than 900 attendees at the VISION meeting will hear the keynote address by the Honorable Robert Dole, former U.S. Senator and 1996 Republican Presidential Nominee, and Christina C. Jones, Co-Founder, Trilogy Software, as a guest speaker.

Visionary Solutions

The VISION 2002 Product Expo is organized into four suites: Production, Workgroup, Enterprise and Integration and Professional Services. These corporate-styled suites will showcase Ricoh's hardware and software products working seamlessly together to enhance customer workflow.

The Production Suite will feature various Ricoh products, including the Aficio 1075 with GlobalScan. The Workgroup Suite will display more than 10 different hardware and software solutions from Ricoh, such as the new FAX5510NF a network facsimile featuring color scan to email; new network color printers with SmartNetMonitor; and the new Aficio 1232C color enabled MFP. The Enterprise Suite features numerous solutions, including the AP3800CMF with embedded Printer Cost & Security Manager (PCSM), the eCabinet and Ricoh's GlobalScan Server. The Integration and Professional Services Suite will showcase the Aficio 1022 with Document Mall, and Ricoh's Automated Meter Reading Technology and Developers Support Program.

Visionary Education

At VISION 2002, participants will receive tips and tools for selling into the IT environment, new ideas to help penetrate multiple areas (and buyers) within a company, total document volume strategies to help increase profits and grow clients and approaches for winning new major accounts.
