  • Tinkerine's DittoTM Pro wins Best 3D printer award at CES
  • Praised for higher performance and strong value
  • Changes perception of 3D printing

VANCOUVER, June 1, 2015 /CNW/ -– Tinkerine Studios Ltd. (TSXV: TTD, FSE:  WB6B and OTC: TKSTF), Canada's leading manufacturer of desktop 3D printers and 3D printing educational content, is pleased to announce that its Ditto™ Pro printer won the "Best 3D Printing Product" award at the Consumer Electronics Show Asia 2015, ("CES") held in Shanghai, PRC.

With the industry's first open-C shape frame, the DittoPro garnered the attention of CES attendees with its strong ergonomic design. Industry leaders praised the DittoPro's efficient electronics storage, balanced printer size to print ratio, and reduced desktop space (43% smaller than the leading competitors). All in, the judges concluded that the DittoPro gave 3D printing enthusiasts better value for their purchase.

Commenting about the DittoPro, Zol CES Asia reporter Song Daxi stated, "Its fine craftsmanship and beautiful aesthetic look changes the traditional perception that 3D printers are bulky, heavy, and unpleasing in appearance. Tinkerine's DittoPro isn't just all about the aesthetic flair, but reliability as well. Under continuous operation, users will still get a smooth surfaced print that can retain accurate detail of the original design."

"We are extremely pleased to be recognized alongside other Best of CES Asia product category winners such as Cadillac and Garmin" commented Eugene Suyu, Tinkerine's CEO.  "We are at an exciting time and place for 3D printing where we are supporting and encouraging our customers to think well beyond making trinkets and toys to actual real world applications and manufacturing methods and inefficiencies. During CES Asia we received a great deal of interest in Tinkerine U which, we believe, will be the leading online marketplace and training platform for 3D printing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) based projects, training and educational content."
