Anyone knows or can compare the scanning features and accounting solutions of RiCOH MP5054 and Canon C4245?

Recently, I met a customer who is concerning on the scanning function of RICOH machine. The customer asked about what will be the minimum size RICOH MP 5045 can compress the scanned files to.

Also, how is the accounting solution of MP5045?

The customer said the accounting solution of brand such as Xerox can track about the scanned files from each user ID to each job ID. Is RICOH MP5045 performing the same function?

I have no idea regarding the compression question.  I would want to find out what the client's end-game is in asking about that. What current issue or benefit do they currently have that makes this important to them?  From there, it would be easier to provide what they want.

Regarding accounting, out-of-the box Ricoh will only track the quantity of scans per user using User Codes.  If they want multiple tracking levels, (client + matter, user + project, etc.) they would need PCS Director, Equitrac, Copitrak or some other cost recovery software.
