RICOH’S DOCUMENTMALL™ RECEIVES BOOST FROM KARORA TECHNOLOGIES

Ricoh Welcomes Karora as a New Technology Alliance Program Member

West Caldwell, NJ, May 13, 2008 — Ricoh Americas Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment, today announced that AppConnector™ by Karora Technologies, a developer of software components and solutions built for medium-sized enterprises, passed Ricoh’s compatibility testing. Ricoh’s DocumentMall solution works with Karora Technologies’ AppConnector to further streamline document management processes efficiently. In addition, Karora Technologies joins Ricoh’s Technology Alliance Program and will work jointly with Ricoh to offer solutions that focus on delivering value and solving business problems.
Ricoh’s DocumentMall, a web-based document management software-as-a-service solution (SaaS), provides users with a Web interface that features point-and-click navigation and the ability to drag and drop documents and folders from users’ desktops into DocumentMall. While DocumentMall serves as a comprehensive solution for storing and sharing documents and files, the addition of AppConnector will enable the program to offer automated query searches & document inserts. As a result, users can easily gather files or locate and resolve errors.

When paired with App Connector, DocumentMall’s enhanced capabilities will allow organizations to greatly improve operational costs and time efficiency. These benefits make this solution an ideal choice for industries that rely on document management and retrieval services such as higher education, healthcare, and financial services. The combined technology also allows businesses to access their files in an efficient and secure manner as the technology offers encryption and password protection to be added to the electronic documents.

When utilizing this enriched solution, current DocumentMall users will experience no learning curve because AppConnector operates on the back end of this SaaS solution. Furthermore, to access AppConnector, users simply need to click on a floating button bar that is added to a user’s desktop without any changes to their business applications or DocumentMall’s graphic user interface.

“This Ricoh and Karora partnership will allow us to provide our clients with innovative solutions that optimize key business support processes and we look forward to working together to bring them to the market,” said Pete McBride, co-founder and chief executive officer, Karora Technologies.
