TORONTO, Oct. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - Ricoh Canada Inc. today announced the release of two new solutions. Ricoh's new Digital Rights Management (DRM) solution helps customers create a comprehensive data and information security infrastructure. This solution can efficiently operate as a standalone security system or as part of an existing or planned Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system. Ricoh's new File Analysis & Migration (FA&M) solution helps organizations improve their information mobility, while at the same time helping them to comply with information governance laws.

Implementing either or both these solutions does not require an overhaul of an existing security and workflow management infrastructure. Ricoh's FA&M and DRM solutions are compatible across multiple platforms, devices, operating systems and can be integrated with most modern ECM system infrastructures. The FA&M solution can find, analyze, classify, manage, store, and retrieve a company's files and data systems in a few simple steps. The DRM solution provides enhanced document protection to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure of digital files through encryption and the use of data-centric security strategies.

Common challenges such as cluttered files, dark data, version control, internal data breaches, cyber attack, and data security can now be addressed using one or both of these solutions. Both solutions also help businesses meet their obligations, under information governance legislation, to protect sensitive information such as their employees' and customers' personal information.

Customers can leverage Ricoh's expertise in Enterprise Workflow Solutions to increase efficiencies and improve bottom-line using an integrated solutions approach that allows the organization and protection of information on a file level. "Digitization of information is no longer an option, but a reality of businesses today," says Eric Fletcher, VP Marketing for Ricoh Canada Inc. "Ricoh's FA&M solution allows businesses to accelerate their data migration plans into an ECM, while our DRM solution provides persistent file-level data security even when documents are moving outside of a company's existing security infrastructure. We help businesses meet their existing and new workflow and security challenges for better market competitiveness."
