RICOH EUROPE B.V. PARTNERS WITH OBJECTIF LUNE, INC., ONE OF CANADA'S FASTEST GROWING TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES

Ricoh and Objectif Lune to demonstrate the new Aficio™CL7000 and PlanetPress® in Ricoh's booth at CeBIT 2003

Amstelveen, March, 2003 - Ricoh Europe B.V., the European headquarters of the leading manufacturer of digital office copiers and printing systems today announced that it reached an agreement to co-promote the new high speed colour laser printer Aficio™CL7000 and PlanetPress®, Objectif Lune's Transactional & Variable Content Documents (TVCD) software suite at CeBIT 2003.

Ricoh and Objectif Lune demonstrate its integrated printing solution at Ricoh's booth located in Hall 1 at CeBIT 2003. "We are very enthusiastic about this new collaboration with Ricoh Europe, given that PlanetPress® was already represented as a unique printer based solution sold through Ricoh Company Limited in the Japanese market," says Etienne Leveau, VP Worldwide sales with Objectif Lune.

PlanetPress® allows businesses to reduce operating expenses and enhance their corporate image by easily creating and customising transactional documents such as invoices, purchase orders or reports using laser printers, entirely eliminating the need for pre-printed business forms designed for impact printers. PlanetPress® also allows for one to one marketing variable content documents such as personalised direct mail pieces or product brochures to be easily generated.

PlanetPress® is to be demonstrated on the Aficio™CL7000 high speed colour laser printer that will be launched to meet the growing needs of the office. Professional finishing and the eye-catching use of colour create an instant and visual impact on important documents and other printed materials. This functionality is now available in one cost-effective device from Ricoh. This unique combination printer harnesses the optimal productivity and power associated with high speed and high quality colour printing capabilities - saving money and space by eliminating the need for separate machines for office and transactional applications.

"PlanetPress® is a software solution that will add extra value to our existing high-volume printing business. It will maximise business opportunities for Ricoh, offering a solution for transactional & variable content documents using Ricoh's digital multi-functional product line," said Yuji Hiruma, Manager, Printing Solution Department, European System Solution Centre, Ricoh Europe, B.V.

Objectif Lune has experienced growth of over 800% in the last five years as the demand for digital printing and variable data printing capability continued to accelerate, and was named one of Canada's fastest growing technology companies in the 2002 Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50.
