Need help as soon as reasonable coming up with a solution as follows: (trying to knock Mita out of a rather large account)
Client wants to print jobs of 100 to 500 pages from MAC OS 10.2 Jaguar (uh oh). He prints 6 sets and here's the clincher. He wants to insert blank green sheets as separators to various sections of the job. And it could be as many as 75 or 100 separator pages.
He has a Kyocera Mita coming in on trial next week that supposedly cannot print the job, but the rep is claiming that he is going to show how to send the job to something like the document server and set the job up from the control panel. And they like the rep. So I have to at least come up with a solution that is easier than what the Kyocera Mita 6330 does if I can't send the job from a print driver. In thinking through various ways to accomplish this job with a Ricoh Aficio 1035, I don't want to rule out any options with a 1060 that may roll in with an interposer if that makes some sense, but it may become too pricey.

From the Document Server you would be able to create chapters and insert blank sheets in between. On the 1060, you can define 20 of them, probably the same on the 1045. I'm not a Mac person, but in MS Office (Windows) I know I could set it up from page setup and pick the trays for each section, etc. Depending on what application your client is using you might be able to do the same thing.

Anybody know how many chapters you can set up the KM?

Thanks!
Lee
