SHARP Electronics Introduces The FO-DC500 Super G3 Document Communication System

Sharp Electronics Corporation has introduced the new FO-DC500 Super G3 Document Communication System, the newest model in Sharp’s line of advanced facsimile-based solutions. Powered by a 16 page-per-minute engine, the FO-DC500 is completely modular, which is ideal for any growing business. With network scanning, network printing, web-based management, and remote diagnostics, the FO-DC500 offers a broad range of features to quickly increase productivity. The model is also particularly simple to use – with Sharp’s intuitive software, users will be up and running in no time.

The FO-DC500 is based on the same innovative engine as the FO-4400, offering JBIG compression, 1.3-second quick scan, personal auto-dial phone books, flash memory backup, and an incredibly easy-to-use interface featuring a QWERTY keyboard. With a large 4.7” LCD screen and easy menu navigation, the FO-DC500’s ergonomic tilting status display can be viewed at a wide range of angles. Its standard 250-sheet letter/legal paper supply can be expanded to 750 sheets with an optional 500-sheet paper drawer offering increased functionality for even the busiest offices and workgroups. With 8 MB standard flash memory expandable to 16 MB, the FO-DC500 is a cost-effective facsimile solution with the flexibility to grow alongside a customer’s business.

“The versatile FO-DC500 is an advanced business solution, with the functionality and speed that today’s networked offices demand,” said George Grafanakis, Product Marketing Manager, Network Office Systems Group. “Sharp’s new line of facsimile-based solutions offer incredible performance in an intuitive format, ensuring that users at all levels can operate and experience the full feature set in an instant.”

The FO-DC500 features the most advanced dialing capabilities in its class. In addition to 59 rapid dial (one-touch) keys and 100 speed dial codes, it offers 20 personal auto-dial phone books that can store up to 75 numbers each, totaling an additional 1500 numbers. With 400 dpi scanning, the FO-DC500 boasts exceptional image quality so legibility is never an issue.
