MALVERN, Pa., July 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ricoh today introduced a new compact, durable and affordable black-and-white printer designed to bring higher levels of productivity to small offices, small businesses and corporate departments.

The RICOH SP 6430DN printer produces up to 38 pages per minute using Ricoh's new LED imaging technology, which delivers 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution without loss of print speed. Easily handling paper sizes up to 11 x 17 inches on a wide range of media, the device helps businesses save time and money by producing larger-format drawings, floor plans and schematics in house.

The RICOH SP 6430DN includes powerful technology, including printing from smartphones and tablets with the RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan app, to advance customers' information mobility. Optional Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print enables the printer to support Google Cloud Print, which makes the device available on the Web to owners and anyone they choose to print from the applications they use every day.

Compact dimensions (18 x 15.5 x 14 inches) make the RICOH SP 6430DN small enough to fit on a desktop, an advantage for small office environments or workgroups. With three optional paper trays, the printer can handle up to 2,100 sheets of paper. A two-component supply design enables separate changing of the toner or drum to help minimize operating costs. Standard duplexing, an ECO-Night Sensor that powers the device down when the lights are turned off, and low energy consumption (ENERGY STAR® certification and EPEAT® Gold rated in the U.S.) help support sustainable business practices.

Advanced security options for the RICOH SP 6430DN include the USB Device Server, which lets workers access a second restricted network to help safeguard sensitive information. The optional hard disk drive helps protect confidentiality by requiring users to enter a passcode to release jobs.

"Whether standing alone or serving as part of a fleet, the RICOH SP 6430DN can play an important role in companies looking for hardworking, affordable machines that support new ways of working," said John Brophy, Vice President, Product Marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation. "While continuously producing high-quality documents, it supports the mobility of both workers and information that is so crucial today in achieving greater business goals."

MSRP for the RICOH SP 6430DN printer is $1,729. For details on Ricoh's full line of products, services and solutions, please visit www.ricoh-usa.com.
