Not a bad idea, Ricoh may credit us $10 or so for the part and we'd pay $12.00 to ship it back to them. The screen should have been a standard feature and the manufacturers need to stop playing games with MSRP so that the price of the system is in line with others. Adding $189 on the MSRP is not going to hurt any sales n fact it would add sizzle and save dealers and sales people money.  Being an option, I would get charged and additional fee to take the old one off and install the new one.

Everything using the SDK is currently unsupported and official word is that everything will be greenlit within 4-6 months.

The stumbling block is the Android-based UI. It's a whole new world of OS complexity to bugtest. Having played with the new machines the UI is slick but it's not a fully custom build. It has a lot of Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" elements going on That's not a bad thing, just funny seeing that older theme and settings menu come back as a hyped "new and exciting" feature.
