Ok, here we go:

I have an existing customer that is using a 4410nf for incoming faxes, all incoming faxes are forwarded to his email as pdf via scan router (company has about 30 employees). He then opens every fax, views, changing file name, distributes to appropriate people and then saves ob his server. They have folders for all current and past jobs. He still wants to view any faxes even with a new solution.

His dilema, is the constant file saving and renaming. he is ok with distributing, but was interested if there is anything that will automate the process of naming, and saving on a server.

Customer is also contemplated adding e-copy OP Share scan to their existing MFP or a new one.

my thoughts

A: Is there a way to create a rule in outlook to send a copy of the attachment to a folder on ecabinet? From there we could automatically ocr and index the attachement. Is this possible without creating a nightmare?

B: Can we forward to a folder in some document management software that will automactically capture the information, index and then still be able to view the document. I know we can sent a rule on the mfp to sent an email alert when a fax is received in a folder.

Anyone have an ideas!!!!!!
