What a complete cluster f**K it is ordering parts. My parts ordering lady is about to pull her hair out with the HP people. Needless to say I've had a Samsung that has needed a fuser for 2 weeks and we just got it today, after getting a used one the first time that was all scratched up and numerous times of getting the runaround about the part being processing and shipped etc.

It also appears the parts will ship from California.....

Anyone else having issues?

Similar experiences.  HP didn't even know who we were.  Its a mess.  Won't be surprised if HP/Samsung loses us as a dealer.  They are a second product line where we have had minimal success to begin with.

You would think that during this transition there would be a lot of communication from HP to their dealers.........NOPE.

If HP thinks this is going to be their big break into the A3 market as they originally claimed they are in for a big let down.  I'd love to sell copiers that have HP on the front door if they can set up a program where I can make money.  I do believe the HP name has to power to open doors that would otherwise be closed.  The key is the hardware cost to the dealer has to be set where I can make money on it.  Also, if HP makes the hardware pricing available directly to the end user via the web the dealer community will never embrace their products and Ricoh, Canon, Konica Minolta and the rest will continue to dominate the A3 market.

@fisher we took a hiatus of promoting their product for a while. We have had problems getting parts for machines which has caused problems. We are working on a 50 machine deal with Samsung gear right now (mostly because of the price point they will offer) and I’ve got a new rep who I knew before and before we went through the rfp o expressed my concerns and he has been on top of everything. I still don’t think we will sell a ton of the gear but hopefully it gets better and we can continue selling it when needed.

Our new rep has done wonders in just the month he’s been transitioned to our rep compared to our previous rep.

Wow.  I wish that had been our experience.  Its been a disaster and our rep who is no longer with the company was pretty useless.  Perhaps that's why he's no longer there.  Whole process has been a mess.  We've taken on other brands in the past like Kyocera and Samsung when they started out and the reps in those instances were chomping at the bit to get us ramped up and selling their product.  Not HP.  I think the HP name would open a lot of doors and I'd love to get rolling with it but we are just in a state of limbo.

Yeah, our old rep was useless. His idea of training the reps was to come in and tell them about how much they would get from spiffs. Not surprising though as he was Ex-Ricoh and I can say our former Ricoh guys were the same way.
