M-Files Corporation, the intelligent information management company, today announced its expansion into Denmark. The company’s increased presence in the Danish market is driven through its global M-Files Partner Network and direct sales to change the way Danish companies manage their documents and files.

The expansion comes as companies around globe increasingly establish information management as a strategic priority to keep track of the growing volume of documents – such as contracts, presentations, proposals, memos, designs and other files – scattered across multiple systems. To address this, the M-Files platform will help Danish companies by providing a unified, 360-degree view of all documents and data, with quick access to information regardless of location and the system in which it is stored. By using enriched metadata, applied through the application of artificial intelligence and text analytics, M-Files 2018 empowers organizations to establish “context in context” and intelligently manage information.

“Denmark is an interesting market for the information management industry, as many companies in the region already possess a strong understanding of the benefits of efficient content management processes. In particular, Denmark’s public sector has a long history of employing document management systems,” said Miika Mäkitalo, CEO at M-Files. “The old legacy solutions are becoming outdated and cannot scale to reflect the overwhelming amount of data and documents that companies manage today. We’re committed to making intelligent information management the international standard for empowering companies to combat information overload, end data silos and strategically manage information with artificial intelligence.”

Most detrimental to the Danish IT landscape is the presence of shadow folders created by employees and spread across Dropbox and other cloud services. To combat this, M-Files helps organizations regain control of all their files and assets without having to migrate their data into a single system.

Unlike legacy ECM systems, M-Files is the only intelligent information management solution that unifies systems, data and content across the organization without interfering with existing systems, such as ERP and CMS solutions. Utilizing its Intelligent Metadata Layer (IML), the platform unifies information across different sources and business solutions based on what it is, instead of where it’s stored, thereby reducing the time and effort it takes for employees to find and produce information. M-Files also provides a real user-friendly tool set for mobile and desktop to streamline and automate business-critical information management processes.

To date, M-Files has been implemented by Danish businesses across a range of industries, and the company has established several partnerships throughout Denmark, including with Copenhagen-based company Solution Management.

“M-Files has a lot to offer and can improve and simplify the way Danish businesses manage documents and other information to become more productive and efficient,” said Steen Madsen, CEO at Solution Management. “The shared drives on companies’ file servers are without a doubt the biggest competitor on the Danish market because old habits are hard to give up. Our main task is to educate the market and show the value of what a truly intelligent information management solution means for your business operations.”
