DIAMOND MARKETING SOLUTIONS TAPS RICOH’S END-TO-END

Chicago, IL, September 9, 2013 - Ricoh Americas Corporation today announced that Diamond Marketing Solutions (DMS), an end-to-end partner in the creation, production, and deployment of data-driven, highly personalized communications in print and digital response media, has selected Ricoh’s portfolio to enable the delivery of secure, high quality and cost-effective solutions to their customers.  By making the full switch from a multi-step production process to a completely digital solution with Ricoh, DMS has increased its operational efficiency and overall print management, lowered costs and expanded its complex, multi-site operation.

Using Ricoh’s continuous forms platforms, cut-sheet devices and workflow software, DMS has elevated its capabilities to deliver output ranging from direct marketing to critical communications.  Previously, DMS used preprinted forms, which were no longer a sufficient or effective way to share information with its clients’ customers.  Incoming variable data orders were printed on these forms using a variety of printing devices, adding yet another inefficient step to the process.  The high levels of cost and complexity became an unnecessary burden for DMS, so it looked to Ricoh to find a solution that better serves their customers.

“We at DMS have been working with Ricoh for many years, so when we sought solutions to help us enhance our operations, they were a clear choice based on our proven and successful track record together,” said Jim Renella, senior vice president and general manager, secured document services, DMS.  “From day one, the Ricoh team has provided us with leading software, cutting-edge inkjet and toner technologies, and proven support –time and time again. Working with Ricoh has been a true partnership and through that partnership we’ve seen our processes improve tremendously, and we have even expanded into new facilities.”

DMS has been leveraging the market-leading InfoPrint 5000 production print platform since 2010.  During its shift to becoming a fully digital operation, DMS recently incorporated additional InfoPrint 5000s, the award-winning RICOH ProcessDirector workflow solution and RICOH Pro C900 devices from Ricoh that have brought enhanced levels of print management and document workflow capabilities, along with higher quality color output and added flexibility throughout its facilities.

“Realizing that in order to continue expanding their offerings, minimize costs and streamline operations, DMS did not hesitate to make the changes necessary for a complete transformation,” said George Promis, vice president of Continuous Forms Production Solutions & Technology Alliances, Ricoh. “This was a team effort all around as the Ricoh and DMS teams worked seamlessly to ensure successful implementation of this solution together.”
