Hey Gang,
I'm hoping some of you would share some of your insights on the MPS space, based on the questions below. I have my own opinions on these, but to an extent, I’m on the outside looking in, so any insights and dealer perspectives would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a bunch and best regards,
Jake
Dealer Needs - What are dealers really looking for from Manufacturer-offered MPS programs? Are there specific pain points that you or dealers in general still have that could be solved by vendor-offered solutions?
MPS Takeovers – Is the practice of a dealer taking over a customer’s fleet first, and then integrating their own MFPs/printers working better than leading with new hardware?
Vendor Agnostic vs. Vendor Specific - Seems like most manufacturers and many dealers tout a vendor-agnostic approach, but this reduces the ability to add value to customer with vendor-specific solutions. At least among SMBs, does it feel like the strategic and client benefits of solutions is driving a trend towards single vendor fleets or will multi-vendor environments continue to dominate MPS?
Most Successful Dealer of the Future - What type of reseller do you believe is best positioned to succeed into the future: IT resellers benefiting from their SW/Security and IT credibility or the output focused copier and MPS providers with their proven track record of output optimization and maintenance, particularly among larger 1k-person size companies?
