MALVERN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IKON Office Solutions (NYSE:IKN), the world’s largest independent channel for document management systems and services, today announced that Superior Copies has installed a Canon imagePRESS C7000VP digital color press, allowing them greater capacity and enhanced flexibility in meeting their customers’ printing needs.
Superior Copies was founded 15 years ago and is based in Roselle, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Employing 15 people, Superior Copies is a printing wholesaler, serving the printing and print broker marketplace. “Our primary customers are in the ‘print-for-pay’ target market,” explains Todd Owens, President, Superior Copies. “We also work with many franchised printers, handling some of the larger jobs that their smaller equipment would have trouble completing.”
Superior Copies purchased the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP to replace its Canon CLC 5000, and gain more printing flexibility and ability to complete more advanced applications. “We had the CLC 5000 for more than five years, handling nearly a million impressions a year,” says Owens. “As Superior Copies continues to grow, the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP will be better able to handle such a large printing volume, while increasing our printing quality and ability to use heavier paper stock.”

In addition, it features Canon’s innovative dual-fusing technology, which allows the system to maintain a constant engine speed of 70 letter-sized pages per minute, regardless of the paperweight, and maintains a 10,000-sheet maximum paper input.
