      At this year’s conference, taking place October 26 – 28 at the San Diego       Convention Center, experts from Canon will be on hand to help organizations and records management professionals achieve key educational goals. A presentation by Melissa Carlis, CRM and Director of Records Development for Canon will highlight the transformation of records management into information governance with a special focus on such  topics as data privacy, managing eDiscovery and dashboard reporting with analytics. Ms. Carlis’ presentation, “The Evolution of Records Management into Information Governance and How it Affects Your Role” (October 27th,10:45 – 11:45 P.M., room 528, Expo Hall), will spotlight       breaking industry trends, case history examples and steps records  managers can take now to advance their programs.    

 

Additionally, Ken Neal, Canon Fellow, Corporate Communications, will present an educational session on “Communicate to Win: Key Skills for Records Managers” (October 28th, 9:15 ‒ 10:15 A.M., Upper Level, 24ABC). The session will offer proven strategies for communicating more successfully with senior managers and other key information governance stakeholders.
