allright I was speaking to a Canon buddy of mine (dealer owner) and I asked him if they were selling NSI, he stated they were not. I then asked well "how can you then scan a document directly to a nested folder on a server". He stated that the new Canon platform can do this without third party software, is this true?

By a Nested Folder, do you mean scan to a single sub-folder?

"In a folder hierarchy, Nesting refers to storing a folder inside another folder. You can nest folders inside of folders ad infinitum, but it becomes more unwieldy to retrieve them."

All Toshiba product can easily scan as deep as you require into a sub-folder via SMB. The Network Scan path gets more complex but there is no limit.
