I have a question about Ricoh and its 11x17 full bleed capabilities. For clarification, i am talking about 11x17 full bleed on 11x17 paper, not 12x18 to be cut offline, and am specifically talking about the C4504 or equivelant. Thanks in advance!

Not possible. You will always have a blank lead edge, and usually blank on 3 edges.
Thank you! I have a Rep at my local Savin competitor that is telling my prospect (their customer) no problem!
Is there the ability to check a box within the driver, for edge to edge and have the toner print to the edge of the page? They have a Savin C4530spf currently with a check box like this available in the driver allowing for toner to go to the edge of the page.
Not LetterR either, correct? The rep stated "we aren't taking away any of your current functionality"
Not sure of the Ricoh equivelant. it's at least 9 years old.
Really just trying to confirm the c4504 cannot do it on LetterR either
But, can it print to the edge with no white border assuming out of tray 2 on any paper size? The Sharp MX-6500pro is the only system I am aware of that will print off the edge, but this is limited to off the top and bottom, not the leading or trailing edge and only 11x17.

system will not print edge to edge not matter what paper size or tray
If its being cut off line you can set up the crop marks in Adobe and just do it. The printer doesn't care it just prints it. To get professional looking full edge to edge you always have to cut off line. 12x18 and cut it to 11x17.
There is a setting on the machine that can be enabled for edge to edge printing that will make the check mark box in the driver work but it is not recommended. This is really only for occasional use. To enable edge to edge printing in the driver you first have to enable the feature in User Tools. User Tools.......Printer Features........System..........Set Edge to Edge to on. The default setting is off which is why it doesn't work on most machines if the customer checks the box in the print driver.
Art Post posted:What driver are they using? I just check a few of mine. Is it postscript. Even though the driver states edge to edge the system can not print edge to edge on an 11x17. I'm that setting is for users that are printing onto 12x18 or 13x19 paper
Has to be enabled in User tools first.
In service the erase margin can be set to 0 on all four sides but if you set the leading edge to 0 it will jam. You can run single sided full bleed on 3 sides but if you have front frame rear frame and trail edge set to 0 a duplex page will jam.
The edge to edge setting slightly reduces the image so it will fit within the erase margin. I have used this feature with mainframe type jobs that print really close to the edge.
