It's target Average Monthly Volume is almost 1,200 LF per month, so you should be fine. Hopefully, their page page coverage is low, because those print heads and ink add up quickly.

How much are print heads? I got a price from Parts that part # D6702011 (black head unit) is $966.67. I have a 2200 that is giving me white streaks in the blk/gray areas, not much wear on it. thx.

What is the square feet meter on this unit? The price is for one print head correct?

Re: Ricoh CW2200SP monthly volume

If the unit is not that old, maybe there ia warranty on the print head. The brochure states one year for parts.

Your customer will hate you. I wouldn't do it. Someone doing 500 sheets a month will go apesheet when they see the mess that machine makes when prints hit the exit basket.

Termination of Field Support is almost always around 2 years after the model is discontinued. That being said, the CW2201 was launched less than a year ago.

Hi Art, I couldn't agree with you more about the stacking issue. The Tameran is a nice option to have, but it is not the most ideal for creating a "compact" footprint. Glad you were able to give them this feedback.

Excellent analysys Art, I appreciate your taking the time to let us know the latest on this fiasco. It makes sense why they did it now that you explained it so well, but I would wager it will bite them later when sales plummet. I kind of gave up selling wide format due to getting kicked by Oce a few times and then the price increase. I did sell a Savin 3406 before the software mandate and it replaced a 2404 with Ratio that they got tired of paying for updates. They do not need the benefits...

I totally agree with you on this one. As of this morning I am seeing the new CW2200 as it is being setup, I am thinking, is this the best that Ricoh can come up with? In my opinion it will only cheapen the Ricoh name with this unit that looks like it is several different pieces that are now married together to create this unit. As you stated, Ricoh made decisions without consulting any of the Rep's that are actual in the field listening to the end user. I started selling Ricoh's wide format...

Color 1: We need to give Ricoh some credit at least with the 240W, it was the game changer of it's time, problem is that Ricoh sat on their thumbs ever since and all of those great people that supported and launched the 240W are no longer around!

ReproRog ·
Despite wide format volumes in the AEC world dropping the market still expects a certain level of job submission capability. It doesn't have to be at the level of PLP or ReproDesk, but I would hate to be going into a demo either: a) Justifying charging a significant % of the capital cost for something Xerox (AccXES), Océ (OPS) and others give away; or b) Trying to convince the customer he doesn't need job submission. I wrote a job submission tool (ReproRog.NET) some years ago and keep it up...

Kitz The average price increased by about 1,200 with the addition of Plotworks. It is a powerful piece of software. I recommend downloading the FAQ from the aficio league anduse many of the value points.

If Ricoh Introduced a 24inch color MFP wide format system would this help?

If Ricoh Introduced a 24inch color MFP wide format system would this help?   In Japan, Ricoh offers the CW2200SP and the CW1200SP, with the CW1200SP being a 24 inch wide version of the CW2200SP.    If you had a system like this, would...
