I have scheduled quite a few meetings via LinkedIn. Sometimes, it has been through InMail, but more times it has been the result of a client or prospect seeing something of interest that I posted and asking to schedule a time to discuss whatever that is.

Re: 10 Signs You Should Absolutely Hire That Salesperson

Art Post ·
In reference to the above blog. If you want salespeople that want to make money (desire). When the interview is almost over, slap $500 bucks on the table and ask the person. How would you rather make this $500 bucks? 1) work 40 hours for it or 2) try to talk me out of it If they choose #1, tell em thank you and we're not interested. However if they choose #2 and they can get through ten minutes of trying to talk you out it, then I recommend offering them the job and not the $500 bucks. Just...

Re: Linked In Generating Leads "updates"

I recently took the basic premium membership about 30 days ago. This enabled me to see everyone who took a look at my profile. so far I've connected with 4 new (potential prospects) and one prospect who is in the market for a copier. I saw that they viewed my profile and then asked to be connected and in the "inmail" asked if there is anything I can help with. Art

My profile is one big copier advertisement. I use blog links on my profile offering advice on what we offer, and a Buyer's Guide. I also interact on LinkedIn groups in my city to connect with business owners. I've yet to generate solid prospects from LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a good tool to discover more about your prospects than to actually contact them. If anyone has ideas, I'd love to try them out.

I get involved in message boards or threads and share my $0.02 to the point that some folks ask me to come in for an appointment/assessment. I have also generated leads keeping in touch with all of my customers on LinkedIn so if they do indeed change jobs they always know where to find me even if they don't have my card from their previous job

One of the best ways to prospect bar none. Your LinkedIn profile is to share how you can help, what you have done and your ability to share relevant information.

you can't be added on linkedin without accepting, wonder if he was just getting to many "please, please connect with me". I would suspect than many owners will start to back off and delete the profiles if the emails are over burdening. Shame would be the end of a good tool and maybe the end of linkedin? Not a fan of LinkedIn. The only thing I get from it is headhunters, people wanting to sell me stuff, and people wanting me to put them in contact with the owner of my company so they can sell him stuff. Often think about deleting the account altogether. About the only good thing to ever come out of LinkedIn for me was a college room mate I'd lost contact with tracked me down from 2,000 miles away.

Re: Linkedin success with DM's

Jesse ·
In my experience, connecting with c-level execs on Linkedin has about the same success level as picking up the phone or e-mailing. Since you have more visibility into the execs work history, interests, and connections, LI can feel like the "magic prospecting pill" when in fact it is just another avenue to try and establish connection. Whatever ratio you put into number of phone calls, translates to number of meetings, translates to numbers of sales. The same formula holds true for messaging...
