What I Want from Ricoh for Christmas

To Ricoh "What I Want for Christmas in 2023"

I always like to start these Christmas blogs with a post with some snippets about Christmas tradition in other countries.

South Africa

While the traditions around South Africa vary by region and culture, most families come together for a cookout, called braaing on the holiday. Marinated steaks and boerewors sausages serve as the main course, followed by a customary dessert of malva pudding (pictured) served with a custard. Traditional fir Christmas trees are decorated with a variety of baubles included hand-beaded African ornaments.......you can read more here

This blog will mark the sixteenth blog that I've posted over the years for "What I Want for Christmas" from Ricoh.  Over the years I've asked Ricoh to supply me with new products, and services that could help me sell more Ricoh stuff! There's a couple of retreads from last year because I still need these! That's all I want is some cool new stuff for Christmas that will garner me more sales?

Geesh, what do I want this year, hmmmm…..now some of these are replays from last years wishes, but if you don't ask you don't get!

To Ricoh "What I Want for Christmas 2023"

1. It's awesome that we just had a refresh on our black A4 MFPs.  However what I would really like is refresh with our color A4 MFPs.  They are kinda long in the tooth these days. Hoping there is a chance for a price reduction as well! Can you bring this for Christmas?

"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"

2. I would be thrilled to get a 70/80/90 page a minute A4 black MFP's?  Ya know something we can crush the market with?  But they would have to come with finishing capabilities and have the cost per page model of A3 devices!

"Remember the night we broke the windows in this old house? This is what I wished for"

3. Can you give me a new app for all of our MFPs?  I would like to have an app that allows me to scan directly to social media apps like Instagram, facebook and especially Linkedin.  I could do so much more with social media.

"Now, you listen to me! I don't want any plastics, and I don't want any ground floors, and I don't want to get married - ever - to anyone! You understand that? I want to do what I want to do. And you're... and you're..."

4. Can you please bring back black wide format devices that will print at 10 and 14 "D" sizes per minute?  Not really sure why these are still offered in the EU but not in the US.  Please, please....

"Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan!"

5. How about some more videos of your products on YouTube.  However not those generic ones with the nice music and graphics.  I'd like to have more detailed videos that show features and how they will help my clients with their business processes. The world is all about video now.

"You've been given a great gift, George: A chance to see what the world would be like without you"

6. How about one single A3 model that can cover both black and color, along with speed licensing from 20-60 pages per minute?  In addition all of the accessories would be the same.  This would be awesome because we would only have to stock one MFP and dealers could buy and sell annual speed licenses (turn the speed up or down).

What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary.

7. Oh boy, if could supply us with the one A3 MFP to cover replace the eight devices we have to buy now. The I hope you could also give us a variable speed license to sell.  Just think how awesome that could be for clients to speed it up or slow it down when needed!

Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

8. Can we please get wifi added to all of our devices as a standard feature?  This would make life so much easier in hybrid work office environments.

"HOT DOG"

9. Believe it or not I would like and A4 MFP that could scan 11" x 17" and allow me to reduce that 11" x 17" document to letter or legal size.

10. Can you please give is some additional scanning features for our MFPs?  By know you must know that clients scan more than they copy!  I would to have our next MFPs with these additions!

  • auto align/de-skew
  • de-speckle
  • auto-rotate
  • crop
  • mirror
  • invert

For all of our readers that sell different brands, we would love to hear what you would like from your manufacturer.  Merry Christmas to all!

To Ricoh "What I Want for Christmas 2022"

I always like to start these Christmas blogs with a post with some snippets about Christmas tradition in other countries.

Ireland

Christmas for Irish people, who are Catholics, lasts from Christmas Eve to the feast of Epiphany on January 6th, which some Irish people call 'Little Christmas'. Epiphany isn't now widely celebrated in Ireland.

In Ireland, many people will put up their decorations, including the Christmas tree, on December 8th, which is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

There is an old tradition that in some Irish houses (although now not many), people put a tall, thick candle on the sill of the largest window after sunset on Christmas Eve. The candle is left to burn all night and represents a welcoming light for Mary and Joseph.  you can read more here

1. I could really use some inventory on A4 MFPs both color and black this would make an awesome gift for the new year!  This way I would not have to turn away clients for 2023.

"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"

2. What about giving us a 70/80/90 page a minute A4 black MFP's?  Ya know something we can crush the market with?  But they would have to come with finishing capabilities and have the cost per page model of A3 devices!

"Remember the night we broke the windows in this old house? This is what I wished for"

3. Year after year I keep wishing for a toner based color wide format MFP that will print 36 rolls of paper. In addition could you make this device print onto different substrates rather than bond paper?

"Now, you listen to me! I don't want any plastics, and I don't want any ground floors, and I don't want to get married - ever - to anyone! You understand that? I want to do what I want to do. And you're... and you're..."

4. I know I'm asking a lot, but how about some faster print speeds for black (more than 6.8) and color wide format (ink) MFP's? I've got devices in the field due for upgrades and there is no path to help those clients.

"Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan!"

To Ricoh "What I Want for Christmas 2021"

I always like to start these Christmas blogs with a post some snippets about Christmas tradition in other countries.

Iceland

Icelanders really go all out in Christmas celebrations. Most people start preparing and celebrating on the first day of Advent, 4 Sundays before Christmas Eve. Of course, preparations vary from one household to another, and people celebrate differently - so excuse me for any generalisations!

Some people buy the Christmas tree early in December, while others make a tradition of buying it on the 23rd of December (Þorláksmessa). Some people clean every single corner of their house before each Christmas, while others prefer to leave it just somewhat tidy and spend more time hanging out with loved ones instead of cleaning. you can read more here

To Ricoh "What I Want for Christmas for 2020"

I always like to start these Christmas blogs with a post some sinppets about Christmas tradition in other countries.

New Zealand

Families traditionally gather for a Christmas Day lunch. Traditional foods include roast beef, turkey, lamb, salads and roast vegetables. More recently, as appropriate to the often hotter weather of the day, it has become popular to serve local seasonal produce such as cold meats and seafood (such as eel). Increasingly common, instead of a formal dinner indoors, New Zealanders relax outdoors on Christmas Day and enjoy a barbecue lunch on the beach—popularized since the 2000s. Similarly, dessert also includes a mix of traditional winter Christmas food such as plum pudding, fruit mince pies, and Christmas cake alongside local traditions, such as pavlova topped with summer fruits or kiwifruit. (copied from wikipedia)

This blog will mark the thirteenth blog that I've posted over the years for "What I Want for Christmas" from Ricoh.  Over the years I've asked Ricoh to supply me with new products, and services that could help me sell more Ricoh stuff! That's all I want is some cool new stuff for Christmas.

Geesh, what do I want this year, hmmmm…..now some of these are replays from last years wishes, but if you don't ask you don't get! Thought I would also use some quotes from one of my fav Christmas movie. Can you guess the name of the movie? If so PM me and I'll hook you up with a FREE one year Premium Membership.

To Ricoh "What I Want for Christmas 2020"

1. What about giving us a 70/80/90 page a minute A4 black MFP's?  Ya know something we can crush the market with?  But they would have to come with finishing capabilities and color would be awesome too!

"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"

2.  I still want a 36 inch color wide format MFP that's toner based, and none of the wishy washy gel ink technology. More and more clients have the need for one wide format device in the office.

"Remember the night we broke the windows in this old house? This is what I wished for"

4. Can you get me some inventory for Christmas? I just want to be able to to purchase the stuff that you say you sell!

"Now, you listen to me! I don't want any plastics, and I don't want any ground floors, and I don't want to get married - ever - to anyone! You understand that? I want to do what I want to do. And you're... and you're..."

5. I'm really needing a social media app for the copiers.  With all of the content I'm producing I could scan legacy documents, brochures and other stuff directly to Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and really start creating an awesome branding campaign.  I really getting tired of scanning to folder, saving the image and then uploading to social media. A scan2social media app would really be the best gift in the world!

"Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan!"

6. Now, this one isn't for Ricoh but for our leasing partners. Can you give us an approval department before Christmas?  All we hear from is your decline department now. Would be great to get all of this business booked before the end of the year!

"You've been given a great gift, George: A chance to see what the world would be like without you"

7. How about some more videos of your products on YouTube.  However not those generic ones with the nice music and graphics.  I'd like to have more detailed videos that show features and how they will help my clients with their business processes.

What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary.

8. I would also like to have one color A3 MFP and one color A4 MFP and can you make it with speed and color license?  This way I only have to stock two devices in my inventory. I can then subscription sell the speed and the color when I need it. This would allow me to see black devices and color devices when needed and offer subscription upgrades for speed and color!

Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

9.Here's another really cool idea for Christmas. Can you standardize all of the accessories so that they work on of the devices?  This way we don't have to upsell clients that have needs for additional options.

" HOT DOG"

10.  I'm thinking this is not going to fly, but if you don't ask you don't get  I want a wide format copier/printer/scanner with an automatic document feeder!  It only has to hold 20 pages. If you can do it for fax machines you can surely make it for the wide formats.

I always like to start these Christmas blogs with a small story about Christmas tradition in other countries.

On Christmas Eve, children, especially boys, often go out singing 'kalanda' (carols) in the streets. They play drums and triangles as they sing. Sometimes they will also carry model boats decorated with nuts which are painted gold. Carrying a boat is a very old custom in the Greek Islands.

If the children sing well, they might be given money, as well things to eat like nuts, sweets and dried figs.

An old and very traditional decoration is a shallow wooden bowl with a piece of wire suspended across the rim. A sprig of basil wrapped around a wooden cross and hangs from the wire. Some water is kept in the bowl to keep the basil alive and fresh. Once a day someone, usually the mother of the family, dips the cross and basil into some holy water and uses it to sprinkle water in each room of the house. read the rest here

1.  "Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. It's been more than three years since the launch of the MP W6700/7100 & 8140, could I please get a refresh of these toner based wide format models!  Kinda tough to upgrade clients to the same device coming off of a 3 year lease.

2.  "You serious Clark?" I want a 36 inch color wide format MFP that uses color toner, and none of the wishy washy gel ink technology. More and more clients are want one wide format device that prints black and color!

3. "Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat?"  No, however 70/80/90 page a minute A4 MFP's would be an excellent present!  But they would have to come with finishing capabilities and color would be awesome too!

4.  "Surprised, Eddie?... If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised." Okay this one might be a tall task, you know the growth in industrial print is HUGE through 2025 right?  Well, I'm hoping you can purchase Mimaki Engineering because they have some really cool grand wide format printers!

5.  "Save the neck for me, Clark." Thanks so much for Ricoh ICE, but I'm really needing a social media app for the copiers.

6. "You ain't never seen a set on a dog like this one's got, Clark." Here's a great idea, how about built in embedded scanning software for indexing/metadata and folder search integration as standard feature in all of our copiers.

7. "Well, I'm gonna park the cars and get the luggage, and well, I'll be outside for the season." Leads, leads and more leads please!

8. "Hurry up, Clark. I'm freezing my baguettes off."  Color Label Press would be really sweet.  It would have to memjet waterfall print head and would have to be really fast and offer low cost per label.  Do you think we can get one of these soon?

9. "Bend over and I'll show you." The ability to browse to any folder from the MFP, having this feature would surely increase sales and help in my efforts to get Presidents Club for 2015!!!

10.  "Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas" Dagnabit, I've asked for this for quite some time and you've never listened.  I want a wide format copier/printer/scanner with an automatic document feeder!  It only has to hold 20 pages. I always like to start these Christmas blogs with a small story about Christmas tradition in other countries.

In Ireland, people celebrate Christmas in much the same way as people in the UK and the USA, but they also have many of their own Christmas traditions and customs.

Christmas for Irish people, who are Catholics, lasts from Christmas Eve to the feast of Epiphany on January 6th, which some Irish people call 'Little Christmas'. Epiphany isn't now widely celebrated in Ireland.

There is an old tradition that in some Irish houses (although now not many), people put a tall, thick candle on the sill of the largest window after sunset on Christmas Eve. The candle is left to burn all night and represents a welcoming light for Mary and Joseph. read the rest here

Geesh, what do I want this year, hmmmm…..

1.  Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one.  I still want a Ricoh envelope printer and not the over priced EnPress from Xante.

2.  We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here.  I want a 36 inch color wide format MFP that uses color toner, and none of the wishy washy clogging gel ink technology. More and more clients are asking for color for the AEC market.

3. Thanks so much for the A4 MP C501SP that staples! However the price for the hardware and supplies is really high. I'd like  A REAL toner based A4 color MFP that staples and folds. Giving me the MP C501SP is like a one year membership to the Jelly of the Month Club.

4.  I really, really want one of these because my competition is killing it!  How about getting me that color A3 ink based MFP?

5. I'm hoping you can add single pass scanning to the Ricoh MPC 2504 & 2004 series. So many clients are now just focused on scanning!

6. Can you please add a new app to our MFP's that will allow clients to scan legacy photo's/pics/brochures and directly upload them to Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter?

7. Here's a great idea, how about built in embedded scanning software for indexing/metadata and folder search integration as standard feature in all of our copiers.

8. This would really help me in the field, I'd like to have more aggressive cost per page with all of the Ricoh printers.

9. I could really use A4 black and color MFP's that have stapling, while you're at it can you also give us faster black A4's.  Maybe 75ppm - 90ppmm please!

10. My next to last wish is that you can bring us tri-fold feature for all of our color MFP's.

11.  Dagnabit, I've asked for this for quite some time and you've never listened.  I want a wide format copier/printer/scanner with an automatic document feeder!  It only has to hold 20 pages. If you can do it for fax machine you can surely make it for the wide formats.

To Ricoh "What I Want for Christmas in 2017"

Every year, I like to put some interesting tidbit about Christmas from other Countries around the world.

Austria Christmas

Austria shares many Christmas traditions with its neighbor Germany, but also has many special Christmas customs of its own.

During Advent, many families will have an Advent Wreath made from evergreen twigs and decorated with ribbons and four candles. On each of the four Sundays in Advent, a candle is lit and a carol or two might be sung!

Most towns will have a 'Christkindlmarkt' (Christmas market) from late November or early December, selling Christmas decorations, food (like gingerbread) and Glühwein (sweet, warm mulled wine). Cities like Vienna, Innsbruck and Salzburg have huge markets and people from all over the world visit them. You can read the entire "Christmas in Austria" here.

This blog will mark the tenth blog that I've posted over the years for "What I Want for Christmas" from Ricoh.  Over the years I've asked Ricoh to supply me with new products, and services that could help me sell more Ricoh stuff! That's all I want is some cool new stuff for Christmas.

My Ricoh Christmas Wish That Came True Last Year

Last year I posted the below thread, low and behold Ricoh came through with my gift request with the recent distribution of Ricoh Direct SMB accounts to dealers. Only problem was, I didn't get squat in NJ! Oh well, at least Ricoh came through with one of my Christmas wishes .

Thread from last year: "Xerox recently announced that they were going to migrate many existing Xerox Direct accounts their dealers. I think this would be an awesome gesture if Ricoh could do the same with their Direct accounts.  Can you make this happen?"

Some of my requests will be dups from last year because I really, really need them for fear of not having them.

What I Want From Ricoh for Christmas

  • I want a 36 inch color wide format MFP that uses color toner, and none of the wishy washy clogging gel ink technology. More and more clients are asking for color for the AEC market.
  • I want an automatic document feeder for all of our AEC wide format MFP's.  The thought of scanning one document at a time is archaic and we could bust the market wide open.  Heck if it can be done with a fax machine it can be done with wide format. Can I get it, can I?
  • I double-DOG-dare ya to deliver us a digital color label press (ink or toner based).  Only 3% of the marketing is digitalized.
  •  I want an official  Ricoh Color A4 MFP, with stapler, folder and five paper trays.
  • Dadgummit!, Last year you didn't come through with my Christmas wish for creative scanning apps for our MFP's.  Fuhgeddaboud the copying apps,  no one uses them!
  • Over the years I got to be quite a connoisseur of copiers. Can you please bring me a scanning app that will allow me to browse to any folder on the network from copier user interface.  Please!
  • Ohhhh fuuudge! How about a bringing me a 24 inch wide format MFP?  You're offering a 24 inch version the of the MP CW2201 in Japan, why not bring it too me in the US?
  • I want a simple exit tray with a jogger for all of our Production Print devices.  Many of my clients don't need a stapler since the binding work is done off-line.
  • I want the Ricoh MP C5200S as a print device only.  No one copies anymore!

I'd like to take the time to thank all of our readers for the comments, the likes and the replies that have been posted in previous years. In addition, I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday and have a tremendous healthy and Happy New Year!

The Christmas season in Italy begins on the first Sunday of Advent, which is four Sundays before Christmas. Christmas fairs feature fireworks and bonfires along with holiday music. Families go to the Christmas markets to shop for gifts and new figures for the manger scene. Some families set up a Christmas tree and decorate it. Families set up their presepio, or manger scene, on the first day of the novena. They gather before the presepio each morning or evening of novena to light candles and pray. reposted from Christmas Traditions Around the World.

This blog will mark the ninth blog that I've posted over the years for "What I Want for Christmas" from Ricoh.  Over the years I've asked Ricoh to supply me with new products, and services that could help me sell more Ricoh stuff!

Alas, I must have been a bad boy for most of those years, since many of my requests did not come to fruition.  I've been selling Ricoh products since 1998, thus I've been that loyal sales person, along with that sales person that is enamored with the Ricoh brand.  Just can't figure out my so many of my requests go unanswered.

A few years ago, I asked for faster A4 black devices with advanced finishing capabilities. Finally, this year I get the faster A4 black devices, but Ricoh then eliminates the finisher/staplers!  Wawawa, I just don't get it, who is better than me to decide on what products should come to market here in the US?  LOL

What I Want for Christmas in 2016

  • I want a level playing field for Direct & Dealers,  and enough of the BS that we care about our dealers, just give us the same pricing as Direct.
  • Can you please get me faster A4 color devices with advanced finishing/stapling and hole punching.
  • I need this too!  The faster new A4 black devices are really awesome (even if there're OEM'd by Kyocera), but I need finisher/staplers with these devices also!
  • I could really use a Color Label Press, and I can help you with the design too!  Just take the MP C8003, remove the copier, scanner features, add a Fiery, add an exit conveyor and then add the StraightShooter envelope feeder. I could kill it with this device. This system could print #10 envelopes up to 100 per minute!
  • How about a giving me a 24 inch wide format MFP?  You're offering a 24 inch version the of the MP CW2201 in Japan, why not bring it too me!
  • Enough already with the crappy copier apps for the new 04 series!  Do you really think anyone copies any more?  Instead bring me some scanning apps that I can use for my social media accounts.
  • I need, a faster wide color wide format MFP. Don't care if it's ink based or toner based. I'm tired of not being able to compete with the likes of HP. KIP & OCE.  Color wide format is the next great opportunity for wide format devices.
  • Since I'm asking for wide format stuff, please, please design a document feeder for the Ricoh wide format devices.  Believe it or not, the last few that I sold, I had calls that the device was not feeding multi originals!  Don't think about copying, think about scanning, how awesome would it be to stack 20 wide format pages in a document feeder.  Set it, scan it and forget it!
  • I want folding units!  Please bring me some folding options that will work with the new A4 series color devices.
  • Xerox recently announced that they were going to migrate many existing Xerox Direct accounts their dealers. I think this would be an awesome gesture if Ricoh could do the same with their Direct accounts.  Can you make this happen?

I'd like to take the time to thank all of our readers for the comments, the likes and the replies that have been posted this last year. In addition, I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday and have a tremendous healthy and happy New Year!

Every year, I like to put some interesting tidbit about Christmas from other Countries around the world.

Christmas in Russia: During the communist years St. Nicholas was transformed into Grandfather Frost. Other religious traditions were suppressed during the communist era. Before the revolution, a figure called Babouschka would bring gifts for the children. Like Italy's La Befana, the story is that Babouschka failed to give food and shelter to the three wise men during their journey to visit the Christ Child.

Hard to believe that I started this blog 7 years ago!  I missed a few years, however, I look forward to writing this Christmas themed blog each year. For those of you that aren't aware of my background, I've been selling Ricoh products for a dealer since 1998!

Christmas List for 2015 (hope it's not too late)

  • Ricoh please please give us a replacement for the aged W3601 wide format MFP system!! Is it true that something new is coming in early 2016? If so, please, please don't let it be anything similar to W7100 or the W8140 you just released a few months ago.  I need new features like the Smart Operation Panel, 1200x1200 dpi scanning and a Scan2Print feature (this way I can scan on the Ricoh and print to other wide format devices).
  • I want, I want a color LED wide format system like KIP has!  Wah, wah, wah, please!
  • I want a lower price for the Xante Envelope Press! Once I add the DMU (Dealer Mark Up), I'm at suggested retail.  If you can't do that, I'll take the next item on my list.
  • I want the Ricoh C5100s with Fiery, however, get rid of the scanner/copier stuff, dump the by-pass tray and add the Straight Shooter LF Pro Plus envelope feeder!! Boo ya, we'd have a production envelope press with color matching and speeds of 100 plus envelopes an hour!!!!
  • I want faster A4 MFP devices, 60, 70 pages a minute would help me climb to the top of the sales ladder.  If you can't do this can you give me the next item on the list?
  • I need finishing options for our A4 MFP devices! I want staplers, hole punching, and booklet making.
  • Hi Speed Network Scan Station that will scan at 100 image per minute plus along with a 220 page document feeder and the ability to scan2email, scan2folder and scan2cloud (I really, really want this). I asked for this last year also. Can you get me this?
  • Please, oh please this would mean the most to me, please open up the android OS GIU (user display) on the Smart Operation Panel so I can develop my own apps. I have so many ideas for some really cool apps for the copiers!  These could make me oddles and oodles of money!

I have a lot of fun with this every year, and hope you did also, please respond with your Christmas list to Ricoh or any other manufacturer.  Usually the best ideas comes from P4P'ers (Print4Pay Hotel members).

For each of the past three years, I've included a small ditty about Christmas traditions.  I've also included an awesome picture of mans best friend with a Santa's hat.  Enjoy!!

In Quebec Province, celebrations finish on January 6th, with the “Party of the King”, known there as “Fete du Roi”. During this time, in various homes slices are cut from a cake and given to Family members. As they eat, they keep awareness for a bean that has been baked into the cake. The lucky one, who finds it, is crowned King or Queen for the day. In many parts of French Canada, a meat pie is served on Christmas Eve, called “Tourtiore”, which consists of pork, potatoes and onions. Canada's traditions and customs.

This year marks the fourth blog of "What I Want from Ricoh for Christmas". After all of my wishes for last year, Ricoh did come through with the stapleless finisher and the envelope press.  I'm going to be relentless and keep asking for a few of the same things, and hope that this Christmas will be the Best Ever!

  • I'd really like to see at least ONE Ricoh  lead for Monmouth County this year.  I'm really not sure why I haven't received any in the last year.
  • Oh please, can we get an upgrade for the W3601 wide format system?  It's been four years since the last upgrade, and if you can do that can you please add USB/SD scan & print?
  • The ability to browse to any folder from the MFP, having this feature would surely increase sales and help in my efforts to get Presidents Club for 2015!!!
  • Deliver me with a Segment 5 monochrome A4 MFP with the cost per page model of Segment 4 A3 MFP.  I could garner so much net new business and I'd be able to buy that new car that I need.
  • Thinking about it, I could also use another Envelope Press, however, this one would have to work with the MP C8002, have a stout envelope feeder and a fiery. You can get rid of the copier part and the document feeder if you want.
  • A bookletmaker for MP C6502 and the MP C8002 that will work in tandem with the GBC Pro Stream puncher, not the Plockmatic that hurts my wallet.
  • Please, oh please don't force me to buy Plotworks anymore with the wide format systems.
  • Hi Speed Network Scan Station that will scan at 100 image per minute plus along with a 220 page document feeder and the ability to scan2email, scan2folder and scan2cloud (I really want this one the most)
  • Pricing & Launch, can you please launch the Ricoh Pro C7100 series already!!  If you can deliver that to me before the 23rd of the month, I'm sure I can write and order for you.  It would also get me a spot in this years Presidents Club!  Please, please I really want this now!!
  • I want a full color digital Label Press, something just like the Graphhtec LCX 1000.  Just think about all of the consumables that you'll sell breaking into this new market!!!

What a wish list right?  Please feel free to add your wish list for Ricoh, or any other manufacturer sometimes the best ideas come from those of us that are in the trenches day in and day out!!!

To Ricoh "What I Want for Christmas for 2014"

Christmas in Sweden begins with the Saint Lucia ceremony. Before dawn on the morning of 13 December, the youngest daughter from each family puts on a white robe with a red sash. She wears a crown of evergreens with tall-lighted candles attached to it. She wakes her parents, and serves them with coffee and Lucia buns. The other children accompany her. The boys dressed as star boys in long white shirts and pointed hats.

The custom goes back to Lucia, a Christian virgin martyred for her beliefs at Syracuse in the fourth century. The Saint Lucia ceremony is fairly recent, but it represents the traditional thanksgiving for the return of the sun. Often she is followed by star boys, who wear pointed hats, and carry star wands.

2013 marks the fourth installment for "What I Want from Ricoh for Christmas",  last year I was fortunate to finally get a color wide format system that was able to print/scan and copy!  In addition Ricoh finally delivered Ricoh ICE (Integrated Cloud Environment), woohoo!

But like any good kid I'm yearning for a few additional items this year. Here's my wish list for this year, and keeping my fingers crossed that we'll have these products for 2014!!

  • Hi Speed Network Scan Station that will scan at 100 image per minute plus along with a 220 page document feeder and the ability to scan2email, scan2folder and scan2cloud (I really want this one the most)
  •  A wide format MFP with an automatic document feeder with a large original document exit stacker!
  • I asked for this before and will continue to ask until I get it, but can you please bring me an envelope printer with a fiery, a large capacity envelope feeder and a conveyor stacker....pleeeease!!
  • The ability to search folders from the copier that reside anywhere on the network. No more of this global scan crap or third party embedded software.
  • I'd also like to have a 50 or 60 page per minute A4 MFP (black) that can staple, print, scan, fax and hold oodles of paper, maybe 4,000 sheets?
  • A bookletmaker for MP C6502 and the MP C8002 that will work in tandem with the GBC Pro Stream puncher, not the Plockmatic that hurts my wallet.
  • Please, oh please don't force me to buy Plotworks anymore with the wide format systems.
  • How about a staple free stapler?  Maybe the new eco finishers can have a paper crimper installed so we don't have to use staples any more!!
  • I'd also like to have more finishing options for our color A3 systems that are 30-50 pages per minute, I'm hoping for GBC puncher, and a multifolder.
  • An in line bookletmaker that staple 50 pages to make a 200 page booklet!
  • An one more item, open up the Android OS for the Smart Panel Display so I can access Google Play Store and allow me to develop some kick ass apps for the copier!!

What a wish list right?  Please feel free to add your wish list for Ricoh, or any other manufacturer sometimes the best ideas come from those of us that are in the trenches day in and day out!!!
