They do have a Canon DR-5020 scanner that after the file is scanned it goes back and deletes all the blank sides. It takes a while of course. We have charged shipping for supplies with regards to copiers and MPS contracts for many years. If a client complains, we offer to increase their CPC rate in exchange for "no shipping cost". 95% of the time they pay the shipping cost, which is a Flat rate of $10 per order. The replacement for the C6501 will be a clean sheet design (new engine) and the C651 will have improvements. KM needs to watch out as Ricoh was a late player to the production print game. When Ed Schmid was running eCopy they had the best pre & post sales support in the industry. You could call an 800 # while onsite and get someone to answer the phone who actually knew the product better than you did. Those were the days when eCopy was a Canon only product. But Canon did not buy a controlling interest in eCopy so when their contract ran out, eCopy opened up to all copier manufacturers, and their support became poor, the rapid expansion overwhelmed them. Such a narrow view can be dangerous and you should set your requirements based on a more holistic view (more about this further down). Output Management includes niche
